(October 16, 2018) – CivicSmart, Inc., an innovator of highly accurate on-street parking sensors and other “Next Generation” Smart Parking technologies is pleased to announce that the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) unveiled the world’s first automated on-street parking reservation system on Sunday at the 38th Gitex Technology Week held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

 

This reservation system allows motorists to use the RTA’s smart parking app to locate and reserve convenient on-street spaces at a premium rate and is powered by CivicSmart technology including its highly-accurate vehicle detection sensors and communications gateways.

 

This smart parking initiative is initially available for select on-street spaces near the Dubai Marina and Dubai Media City, and will be expanded as part of the next phase of the initiative.
