Gretchen Effgen

Board Member

Gretchen Effgen is VP of Global Partnerships and Team Business at nuTonomy, the leading software developer for self-driving cars. She serves on the Board of Directors of CivicSmart, where she fulfilled an interim role on mobility services. Gretchen convened the Boston Mobility Roundtable in 2016 and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Cities and Urbanization. A former Zipcar executive, Gretchen executed the company’s strategic partnership initiatives with Ford, Honda, Toyota, Google, forming the earliest partnership initiatives in what we now know as the “Mobility Services” industry. She was awarded a specially-created Zipcar Innovator award in 2012. Prior to Zipcar, her career spanned consulting in both the public and private sectors and included several years in Washington, DC as an international trade advisor to foreign governments.

 

Gretchen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University and an MBA from the London Business School and also advises the US Fund for UNICEF.
